Skin Doctor-Led Aesthetic Consultations

Most cosmetic clinics start with what you want to change.

We start with your skin itself,  because every doctor here is trained to notice skin cancer first and aesthetic concerns second. That order matters, and it’s the whole reason to book a consultation with a skin doctor rather than an injector-only clinic.

What makes a skin doctor different

Every doctor at Canberra Skin has postgraduate training in skin cancer medicine as well as aesthetic medicine. That means your aesthetic consultation starts with someone actually qualified to notice if something on your skin needs medical attention, not just cosmetic improvement. It’s not a nice-to-have add-on, it’s the whole model this clinic is built around.

What your consultation involves

Dr Roshan Dalpadado spends the session assessing your facial anatomy, skin health and goals in detail. Rather than offering a generic, one-size-fits-all suggestion, your consultation results in a personalised plan tailored to your specific face, concerns, and medical history.

Considered, not equipment-led

We don’t lead with the newest laser or device. Canberra Skin is deliberately kept simple: qualified doctors, a proper medical assessment, and treatments chosen because they suit you, not because there’s a machine to justify using. If a technology genuinely adds value down the track, we’ll add it, but the model starts with the doctor, not the equipment.

What to expect

Bring a list of your current medications and any relevant medical history. Your doctor will talk through your goals, examine the areas you’re interested in, and explain what options might be appropriate, with plenty of time for questions.

Book a consultation with a skin doctor who’s looking at your whole picture, not just the treatment on the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a skin doctor, and how is that different from a cosmetic injector or beautician?

A skin doctor is a qualified GP with additional postgraduate training in skin cancer medicine and aesthetic medicine. Unlike a beautician or injector-only clinic, a skin doctor is trained to assess the health of your skin first, not just its appearance, and takes full clinical responsibility for your treatment plan.

What happens during an aesthetic consultation?

Dr Roshan Dalpadado reviews your facial anatomy, skin health and goals in a dedicated session, then builds a personalised, medically-sound plan rather than a one-size-fits-all recommendation.

How much does an aesthetic consultation cost?

Please call reception on (02) 6109 9320 for current consultation fees.

Do I need a referral for an aesthetic consultation?

No referral is required for aesthetic consultations. You can book directly online or by calling reception.

What treatments can be discussed at my consultation?

Your doctor may discuss a range of options suited to your goals and medical history. Nothing is recommended without a full assessment first.

What should I bring or prepare for my consultation?

It’s helpful to bring a list of current medications and any relevant medical history, so your doctor has your full health picture before discussing options.
