About Dr Manisha Abeya
Dr Manisha Abeya is a registered General Practitioner and General Surgeon at Canberra Skin and Aesthetics.
Few GPs in Australia bring her depth of surgical training. Dr Manisha graduated from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical Schools, University of London, in 1996, and spent the years that followed in intensive hospital-based training across the United Kingdom, building a rare and high-level skill set across three medical disciplines.

Dr Manisha holds postgraduate Memberships in Surgery (MRCS, England), Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH, UK), Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRCOG, UK), and General Practice (MRCGP, UK), as well as her Australian Fellowship (FRACGP). This combination places her among a select group of doctors worldwide with such a diverse and qualified medical foundation.
It’s her surgical background, however, that defines her clinical practice. Nearly two decades of UK hospital surgical training gave her the precision, judgement, and procedural confidence she now brings to every skin cancer procedure she performs at Canberra Skin and Aesthetics.

Since 2010, Dr Manisha has practised general medicine in Canberra, with an increasing focus on skin cancer surgery. At Canberra Skin and Aesthetics, she manages patients across the full skin cancer pathway, from initial dermoscopic assessment, through biopsy and diagnosis, to definitive surgical treatment, all within the same familiar local clinic.
